Ortessa Group announces that, as of 30 April 2026, it has acquired Huiskamp, located at Ir. Schiffstraat 250 in Enschede. This acquisition strengthens Ortessa’s position in the eastern Netherlands.
Huiskamp has been a well-established and reliable player in transport and infrastructure in the Enschede region since 1936. Over the years, the company has built a strong reputation among both clients and partners. With this acquisition, its 20 employees will become part of the Ortessa Group. Continuity for employees and customers is a key priority, with the intention that Huiskamp will continue to operate under its trusted name, maintaining its familiar way of working and longstanding customer relationships.
As part of the acquisition, current director Henk Speelman will transfer overall responsibility to operations manager Erwin Baak. Baak has been responsible for the day-to-day management of Huiskamp for many years and knows the business inside out. Henk Speelman explains: “For me, this is the right moment to hand over the leadership. With Ortessa Group as the new owner, I confidently pass the baton to Erwin Baak. He knows the team and our long-standing customers and is the right person to lead Huiskamp into the future.”

Ortessa Group is a family of entrepreneurial companies specialising in waste collection, valorisation, regie, infrastructure and environmental services. The expansion in Enschede follows earlier steps in the region, including the acquisition of Langezaal in Haaksbergen last year, which is active in recycling, infrastructure and environmental services. With this acquisition, the group continues to grow in the Netherlands and now employs more than 500 people.
