Ortessa achieves Step 2 on the PSO Performance Ladder
Recently Ortessa reached Step 2 on the Performance Ladder Social Enterprise (PSO) and we are proud of it! The PSO is a scientifically supported measuring instrument and hallmark of TNO that objectively measures the degree of social entrepreneurship and makes it visible. The independent assessment by a certifying body shows that Ortessa offers high-quality employment to people distanced from the labour market and prefers to collaborate with organisations that do so or strive to do so. In this way, Ortessa makes a sustainable and above-average contribution in the field of social entrepreneurship.
Inclusive employment
The goal of the PSO is to help more people with a vulnerable position in the labor market find work in a sustainable and high-quality manner. We do this not only by facilitating workplaces in our own organization, but also by stimulating our suppliers and contractors to do social business. We consciously choose to purchase products or services from SW companies and/or other PSO-certified organizations. This is also called chain stimulation. By allowing more organizations to do social business, together we grow towards a more inclusive society.
Levels of the PSO performance ladder
The PSO quality mark has four performance levels: Aspirant status, Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3. The idea behind the Step approach is that organizations can grow on the PSO Performance Ladder by sustainably offering more employment to vulnerable groups in our society. Ortessa has grown on the PSO-Performanceladder to Step 2. This means that we perform well above average when it comes to employment of people with a vulnerable employment position. We now (in)directly employ more people with a distance to the labor market than organizations in the same size class.
